Inspirational Learning Academies Trust

The Inspirational Learning Academies Trust is a Multi-Academy Trust which is a charitable company limited by guarantee.

Based within the West Midlands region and serving a population across the Local authority of Stoke on Trent, the Trust has 3 academies within the group. Our head office is at Newstead Primary Academy in Stoke-on-Trent.

The Board of Directors (Trustees)

The Board of Directors, the body that oversees the running of the Trust, meets every half term and is supported in its work by the CEO, Deputy CEO and Assistant CEO. The Board consists of 9 Directors, none of which are employed by the Trust. The CEO and Senior Strategic Team are employed by the Directors. Each academy has equal representation on the Board of Directors.

The Board receives reports, information and direction from the Chief Executive Officer, who is currently the Executive Head Teacher of the sponsor school and is a serving National Leader of Education. The Directors nominate a Chair and Deputy Chair of the Trust annually at the start of each academic year. They also have a designated Audit, Risk and Finance committee that has a different Chair and Deputy Chair from the Directors Group.

The Trust is committed to improving the life chances of all children.

This is achieved by striving for outstanding provision and through the delivery of an enriched curriculum that is both broad and balanced and seeks to foster children’s strengths across a variety of different subjects from both the academic and foundation curriculum.

The Trust knows that the pedagogy of deep learning is through a hands on approach and it is committed to providing educational visits locally nationally and internationally to allow children to experience the wider world around them.
