The history of the trust
Newstead Primary School became a National Support School in recognition of its outstanding provision grade from Ofsted. It formed the Inspirational Learning Academies Trust and is the designated main sponsor of the Trust.
Norton Primary School joined and is sponsored by the Trust following an inadequate Ofsted Inspection. It became Norton Le Moors Primary Academy.
Whitfield Valley Primary School joined and is sponsored by the Trust following an inadequate Ofsted Inspection. It became Whitfield Valley Primary Academy.
Norton Le Moors Primary Academy received its first Ofsted Inspection as part of the trust and gained a good rating.
Whitfield Valley Primary Academy received its first Ofsted Inspection as part of the trust and gained a good rating.
In September 2022 Norton Le Moors Primary Academy was inspected again and remained good.
Whitfield Valley Primary Academy was inspected again in February 2023 and was recommended for a full inspection as there were no development points and the quality of provision across the board was graded outstanding.
In July 2024, just before the commencement of the Summer holidays, Ofsted visited both Newstead and Whitfield. Both academies received the Outstanding judgement across all areas of the inspection criteria.
